Children & Youth
"Let the little children come to me..."
We miss gathering for Sunday School during this pandemic but we do include a children's component in each of our worship services. In addition we're excited to have a brand new playground (see photo gallery below) and view it as a place for families to safely connect and encourage each other.
Our Youth Group
Teens bring a unique set of gifts to our church. We believe this group is the future of Mountain View and of God's Kingdom. We want to create an environment where students from all walks of life can bring their "junk" and still feel connected. It is our prayer that students develop friendships and understand what it means to be fully devoted followers of Christ.
The Blood, Sweat, & Tears (BS&T) name is relevant on several levels. It reminds us of the blood, sweat, and tears of our Savior, Jesus Christ, spilled for our salvation. In addition, it reminds us of our need to stay in God’s Word, because the significance of Christ’s blood shed on the cross is revealed in the pages of scripture:
Blood: nights we delve deeper into scriptures about the importance of serving others
Sweat: Service through volunteer opportunities
Tears: game nights where we laugh until we cry.
Youth, in grades 7th through 12th, are welcome to attend. BS&T meets at the church one Monday evening each month. During the pandemic they are practicing the 3Ws - Washing, Waiting, & Wearing a Mask.
We want our playground to be enjoyed and to connect families with each other.
Andrea, Julie, Mark, Cheri, and Loretta guide our youth activities.
